Our Mission

To help promote renewable energy in a positive manner, through quality products and reliable service for the benefit of our community and near future generations.

Cost Effective

The start up cost of a renewable energy system is comparable to the cost of a new vehicle. However, your system does not depreciate with time as a vehicle does, it’s value actually increases as energy rates rise. As with vehicles, there are companies that will help you finance your investment.

Energy Management

You can't manage what you don't measure. Let us help you determine how suitable your site is with a list of energy saving recommendations and the benefits of a solar PV or a solar hotwater system specific to your site.

Our services.

Site Survey & Audit

Using RETScreen, our engineering team will provide you with a thorough financial and emission-reduction analysis. This will give you confidence in choosing the benefits of PV for your home, place of worship or business.

If the survey process is favorable and the project moves to the installation phase, the audit fee will be deducted from the installation.

RETScreen is a computer software package managed under CanmetENERGY research centre of Natural Resources Canada. It is used to determine the feasibility of clean energy projects, which includes renewable energy installations and the means to assess a wide range of energy efficiency options. The software provides the user with a broad range of options for assessing the technical, financial and environmental suitability for an investment in a 'clean energy' project, which includes energy efficiency, renewable energy, and cogeneration. ~ Wikipedia

Solar Photovoltaics (PV)

We offer a wide range of PV products! Whatever suits your site the best. From custom designed systems, to pre sized kits.

Let us provide you with everything you will need to produce your own clean electricity!

• Panels & Racking
• Charge Controllers
• Inverters
• Batteries
• And more ...

Here is some great information about the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) Feed-in Tariff Program. This exciting new incentive pays you up to 80.2 cents per kilowatt hour for the electricity you produce with PV. Compare that with the 10-12 cents per kilowatt that you pay to purchase electricity from your utility company. If you sell all of your electricity back to the grid, you need to produce 1/7th of what you consume to pay for your electricity!

Backup Power Systems

The Secure Source Backup Power Systems are designed to keep important loads in your home or business running in the event of a power failure.

Back-up Power Systems are completely automatic and "hands-free" with optional solar grid-tie capabilities for the home or small business. Adding solar provides even more security; the sun will charge your batteries even when the traditional grid cannot, ensuring that your cash registers, computers, communications, security, lighting and other important loads stay online and you stay in business in the event of an outage.

Greenhouse Gas & Climate Change.

It’s a huge problem and it’s real. What can we do?

One of the things we can do to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is to generate electricity, which we all use, in an environmentally responsible manner. As individuals, we have a moral obligation to prevent further damage to our planet for our children and the generations to follow.
If that’s not reason enough...
Through Ontario’s Feed In Tariff, the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) purchases electricity generated by you at a fixed rate of up to 80.2 cents per kwh for the clean, renewable solar power you generate at your home, business, institution or farm.

Power for faith & healing.

Right now, 100% of our electricity comes from Nanticoke, the largest coal fired plant in North America and the 5th largest toxic air polluter in Canada ...and its right in our backyard.

Power for faith and healing is designed to incorporate education, the environment and communities of different types, into one program that benefits all ...not just individuals. It is a turnkey operation including the initial project assessment, design and engineering, installation, connection to the grid and service.

One of the goals of this program is to get enough community based groups signed up to form a co-op that will increase our purchasing power and drive down the cost of the equipment, which in turn will shorten the payback period and increase the revenue of the participating organization.

By working together participants will be strengthening our community, helping the environment and at the end of the day, making money too'. If we get 20 groups installed at around 10kw each, we will be responsible for a reduction of 200 tonnes of CO2 per year.

The Purpose

    There are 6 main components:
  • To educate non-profit groups regarding the generation of electricity through the use of photovoltaic panels, greenhouse gas emissions, and our current electricity source.
  • To enlighten each other by sharing our different reasons why we should improve our care for the earth with regard to our religious beliefs through inter-faith cooperation.
  • To empower groups within our community by enabling them to take responsibility for their electricity consumption and make sound long term decisions regarding the environment.
  • To strengthen communities through mutual involvement in a project that promotes energy conservation in our churches, mosques, synagogues and other places of worship and healing.
  • To contribute clean, renewable energy to the electricity grid.
  • To promote a green economy by helping create jobs.

The Benefits

The benefits are not exclusive to the groups participating in the project. From the environmental perspective, all will benefit from reduced greenhouse gas emissions. When the initial target of 20 groups participating is reached, a reduction of approximately 200 tonnes of CO2 per year will be generated!

  • The community will be strengthened from the interfaith and inter agency cooperation that will be involved in this project and from the educational aspect as well.
  • The groups participating will benefit from this project financially with potential income of up to $11,000.00 per year generated by the export of clean electricity to the grid.

Having multiple groups involved means bulk purchasing power and larger discounts passed on to the organizations participating in the project. By both learning and teaching about creation care and environmental stewardship and by interacting with individuals from other faiths with this regard, people will grow in their understanding of each other, our planet and of themselves. This program is being developed by Direct Current Renewable Energy Inc., a local small but growing business. There will also be a benefit to this section of our local green economy. System design and engineering, electricians and installers will have increased opportunities for employment.

Please contact us directly for more information on how we can help you with your church, synagogue, temple or other place of healing.
